A Hebridean Idylll
February 25th will be an out of the ordinary concert based on music and stories from the Scottish Isles. Performers include string a quartet with Anne Tupling, leader of Sounds Interesting Conductor/pianist/composer Patrick Larley has written a string quartet for the event, Story teller Gill Larley will read A Selkie Tale, "Ishbel McOdrum and the Seal Man."
The concert includes the world premiere of "Iona Sound" by Patrick Larley, a Scots medley arranged for this concert by John Fairbank , Memento" by MacMillan, "Farewell to Stromness" by Peter Maxwell Davies, Ancient Scots Tune, "Lett Never Cruelties"by A.C. MacKenzie and some toe tapping gigs and reels to get you moving in your seats!
There will also be an exhibition of art work by Mike Tupling in the Gateway Coffee Shop.
