Ken has been head of music at Meole Brace for 25 years, and John teaches at Shrewsbury School.

Ken Lumley

Ken has been Head of Music at Meole Brace School for 25 years. He is conductor of the Shrewsbury Concert Band, which performs widely in the county and beyond.

John Godwin

John is Head of Classics at Shrewsbury School, as well as being the chapel organist, where in addition to playing for services he accompanies the choir performances in venues such as the cathedrals of Hereford, Worcester, Chester, Birmingham and St Alban’s. He has been at Shrewsbury School since 1984, having previously taught at King’s Canterbury, where on several occasions he had the opportunity to play the cathedral organ. John also plays the organs at St. Chad’s and the Catholic Cathedral on Town Walls when time allows. Last year he gave the Chris Argent Memorial Recital

Sarah Bromley

Sarah Is adult and community learning manager at the Gateway as well as being the conductor of the Shrewsbury Junior Wind Band
